CoachWale’s Privacy Policy

Coachwale.com (www.coachwale.com or “CoachWale” or the “Website” or the “Site”) is a directory of professional life, career, and business coaches (hereinafter referred to as a Coach or Coaches), owned and operated by SSM Consulting. As a Coach, CoachWale helps you build your coaching business and get new clients. As an individual or potential coaching client, CoachWale helps you find a coach based on your goals and needs. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) is designed to help you understand how we collect and use personal information, and how we handle privacy issues.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time without notice, so please review it frequently. The date at the top of this page indicates when this Policy was last revised. This Policy applies to all information that we have about you, and to your account with us.

If we decide to change this Policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
If we make material changes to this Policy, we will notify you here.

The Information We Collect

When you visit CoachWale, you provide us with two types of information: A) personal information (such as your name and email address) that you have voluntarily disclosed to us, and B) non-personally identifiable information that is generated when you interact with the Website.

A) Personal Information

When you register with CoachWale as a Coach, you provide us with your name, e-mail address, phone number, location (city, state, province), and other details about your coaching credentials and services. This information is collected for the purpose of being publicly displayed on the website for prospective coaching clients to see. We also collect credit card information if you subscribe to a paid plan. Apart for your email address and credit card information, all of the information that you voluntarily submit to the website may be publicly displayed.

We may occasionally use your name and email address to send you notifications regarding new services offered by CoachWale that we think you may find valuable. We will send you our newsletter if you opt to receive this communication from CoachWale. If you wish to unsubscribe from promotional emails including newsletters, you may do so by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each promotional email.

CoachWale may send you service-related announcements from time to time through the general operation of the service. For instance, if a prospective client sends you a consultation request, you will receive an email alerting you to that fact. Generally, you may opt out of such emails which are not promotional in nature by editing your notifications settings, though CoachWale reserves the right to send you notices about your account even if you opt out of all voluntary e-mail notifications.

When you use CoachWale as a potential coaching client, you may request a consultation directly from one of the coaches listed in our directory, or participate in our “Recommendation” Program. If you request a consultation, we will ask for your name and email address to automatically send a one-time email to the coach on your behalf. We do not send you other emails unless you expressly agree to receive more information from CoachWale. If you participate in the CoachWale “Recommendation” Program (i.e. get a coach recommendation), we ask for your name, email address, phone number (optional), location, your goal for hiring a coach, and any additional details that pertain to your request for a coach. By default, we will publish your request (not including personally identifiable details) as a means for communicating to Coaches the value of our service and upon request, we can unpublish it. After submitting your referral request, we contact you to collect more information about your coaching needs, send you up to five recommended coaches, and periodically follow-up with you to ensure that we have delivered a high quality service. In all cases, CoachWale stores personal information to track the success of our services.

Testimonials

From time to time, we post testimonials on our Website. We receive permission to post testimonials that include personally identifiable information prior to posting. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us.

Surveys or Contests

From time to time, we may provide you the opportunity to participate in contests or surveys on our Website. If you participate, we may request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code).

We use this information to notify contest winners and award prizes, to monitor site traffic or personalize the Website.

Service Providers

We use third parties to provide various services on our behalf such as an email service provider and credit card processor. When you sign up to receive our newsletter we will share your email address with our email service provider. When you subscribe to a paid membership on the site, we use a credit card processor to store your credit card details in a secure location and to charge your credit card when payments are due.

Third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose including their own marketing. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.

If CoachWale is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.
